Boost metabolism and lose weight faster sounds pretty amazing doesn’t it? Especially if that’s your main goal right now! However, everyone has a very unique metabolic system. Some people metabolize foods really quickly. And others, are a little on the slower side.
Fortunately, once you get to know your body better there are some ways you can learn to love it. Remember, you’ve got one body your whole ife – so make good use of it!
It’s a complex system, but it’s simple to work around if you are consistent. I get asked all the time how I managed to get leaner. Girls and guys, I had to work hard to find out what I’m basically telling you today. Your metabolism is essentially your body taking what you’ve eaten, breaking it down and converting it into energy.
Boost Metabolism And Get Lean
For you essentially boost
What does this mean? Well, all the extra fat on your body is basically just stored energy for your body to use later on. That means that the slower your body metabolizes food, the more likely you are to actually store it as body fat.
Calculate Your Daily Macros
Not that I am a big fan of tracking calories, day in and day out. If you do, you can get a little obsessive. But if you want to change your physique then you need to understand how energy expenditure works and how it can help you get results.
The key component to speeding up your metabolism is something called BMR or Basal Metabolic Rate. This is a mechanism that works
Bottom line: Your BMR is how many calories you need to pretty much live. It’s the number of calories your body needs to function even if you did absolutely nothing the entire day.
Your unique BMR is a mechanism dependent on your height, weight, age, and gender.
To do this, I’d recommend using this free Macro calculator to determine your macronutrients and eat within the quantities it provides.
Boost Metabolism And Weight Loss
There is a close connection between the two. If you’re struggling to lose weight you’re not alone because many people do. Getting leaner is a journey for sure, but there are some ways to help you speed it up if you follow them consistently.
To be honest, I was once overweight too. The difference is that I realised this and took immediate action. I wasn;t happy, so I did something about it.
I created Skyezee FashionFit as a result and wanted to help others do it too! So everything I share is directly from my experience being overweight and how I transitioned into a lean, strong, athletic jump rope and mixed movements warrior woman!
Check out these tips below. But before you do, ask yourself if
1. Clean Eating
There are a ton of different ways you can go about this. I believe picking a particular style of eating (the Mediterranean diet, low carb, high carb, keto, intermittent fasting, etc.) that works for your body, lifestyle, tastebuds, and hormones. Then, ensure your portions are in line with your macros.
I am an advocate of eating whole foods, nothing processed or in a box. I love my vegetables, fruit, fish and whole grains. Second, I always keep my diet simple and do not over complicate meals when cooking. Lastly, I don’t follow Keto or low carb or anything like that, because I don’t believe in cutting out or eating too much of certain food groups either.
If your deficit is 2200 calories. it doesn’t matter when you eat those throughout the day. Whether or not, you eat small meals throughout the day or fast in the morning and eat two large meals. It makes no difference because you’re still taking in the same amount of calories.
Do what works best for you!
Ask yourself this question: What meal schedule fits your lifestyle and will make it easy to eat
