Peanut cinnamon banana, apple and chia seed oat bowl is the most delicious, creamiest breakfast you can prepare. July was a chilly month and I am not a winter person at all. That’s why I often turn to a warm, sweet and comforting healthy bowl of peanut cinnamon oats.

The best part about this peanut cinnamon recipe is that it’s hassle-free. You will be able to enjoy a fully cooked and satisfying breakfast or snack without any hands-on time required. And in case you didn’t know already, skipping breakfast is a big no for me. It’s a sacred time of day and I always make sure that I get in a hearty breakfast before I start my day.

I enjoyed my breakfast so much today that I decided to share it will you all. Get up, put a pot of oats on and get going. And no, these are not the ‘leave on the stove’ all morning oats either.

Peanut Cinnamon Oats Make Icy Mornings Sweeter

To be honest I eat peanut cinnamon or chocolate or both most mornings. Breakfast oat bowls are a morning staple that I have at least 3 mornings a week. Everybody seems to think that stovetop cooked oats take a really long time to prepare. However, if you do it with the technique I use, your peanut cinnamon oatmeal will be done when you’re about to pour your first cup of tea or coffee.

I love cooking my oats on the stove better than any other way because you can dress it up in all kinds of ways. I often improvise as I go. You can add nuts, seeds, fresh fruit, dried fruit, cocoa powder, CHOCOLATE, and berries! If you haven’t been a fan of oatmeal, then you’re not dressing it up enough.

Out of all the kinds of homemade oat bowls, I have made. This peanut cinnamon apple and chocolate banana chia recipe is my number one. You will get a boost of heart-healthy fuel for whatever it is you have to tackle throughout your day.

Preparation

  1. Take out a medium saucepan, heat it up over medium-high heat. Add 1 cup of the apples, the honey, and sprinkle in the spices and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the apples are softened.
  2. You can now pour in the water and then the almond milk, turn the heat up to high and bring to a low boil. Add the oats and reduce the heat to medium/medium-high. Cook, stirring occasionally for 3-5 more minutes.
  3. Add the chia seeds (if using), and continue cooking until most of the liquid is absorbed. Pour the oatmeal between into a big breakfast bowl, sprinkle each with the remaining apples, sliced banana, drizzle with a little more honey, and dollop some yoghurt onto your peanut cinnamon oat bowl.

That’s it. This recipe serves enough for one, but if you’d like to prepare in advance then I’d use 1 cup of oats.
